Who It's For
Swedish Massage is for people who prefer a gentle touch, are new to massage or simply want to relax. It is often a comfortable starting point if firm pressure or stretching does not appeal to you.
It is also a nice way to treat a friend or family member visiting San Jose who has never had a massage before.
Benefits
- Gentle, flowing strokes
- A calm session focused on helping you unwind
- Pressure kept light unless you ask for more
- Options from 60 to 120 minutes
What Happens During Your Session
- 1
When you arrive at the studio inside SCORE Clinic, you fill out a short intake form covering your preferred pressure, any areas of pain or tension, health conditions and changes since your last visit. Nancy reads it with you before you start.
- 2
Nancy uses long, flowing strokes at a steady, relaxed pace. The session is designed to feel soothing rather than intense.
- 3
If you would like a little more pressure in certain spots, just say so. If you find you want much firmer work next time, Deep Tissue may suit you better.
- 4
If you are new to massage, 60 minutes is an easy place to start. If you know you love massage and want time to fully switch off, 90 or 120 minutes lets the pace stay slow and unhurried from start to finish.
