Who It's For
Hot Stone Massage is for people who love warmth and want a deeply relaxing session. It is a cozy choice on cooler San Jose evenings, and a good fit if you find warmth helps you settle and let go.
If you are sensitive to heat, are pregnant or have a medical condition, mention it when you book or on your intake form.
Benefits
- Smooth, heated basalt stones placed on key points
- Warmth combined with massage strokes
- A slower, calming pace
- Sessions of 60, 90 or 120 minutes
What Happens During Your Session
- 1
When you arrive at the studio inside SCORE Clinic, you fill out a short intake form covering your preferred pressure, any areas of pain or tension, health conditions and changes since your last visit. Nancy reads it with you before you start.
- 2
Heated basalt stones are placed on key points of the body, and Nancy works around and with them to help ease tension. Tell her right away if a stone feels too warm.
- 3
Longer bookings allow more time for the stones to be used across more of the body.
- 4
Wear something comfortable to the studio and give yourself a few quiet minutes afterward before heading back out onto Meridian Avenue.
